Terms of Service

Beta program. roxii.ai is currently in private beta. Features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Nothing on the platform is for sale today, and no money changes hands. The Terms below reflect that posture.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of roxii.ai and all related products operated by roxii.ai ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

2. Beta status

roxii.ai is a pre-launch product. You acknowledge and agree that:

The service is experimental and provided for the purpose of testing, feedback, and iteration.
Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time without notice. Conversations, memory, characters, and other in-product data may be reset, migrated, or deleted as we iterate.
Service availability is best-effort. There is no uptime guarantee, no SLA, and no commitment to continuous operation. The service may be paused or discontinued at any time.
Information you share with characters or store in the product is not guaranteed to persist. We make reasonable efforts to preserve data, but do not warrant against data loss during the beta period.
Bug reports, suggestions, and feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation to improve the product.

3. No payments, no purchases

Nothing on roxii.ai is for sale during the beta. We are not currently accepting payments, selling subscriptions, or selling tokens. If pricing is introduced later, those terms will be presented separately and require your affirmative agreement before any charge.

4. Eligibility — adults only (18+)

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use roxii.ai. This age requirement is not about the content (the service is fully moderated and SFW) — it is about the depth of data we collect and process to make the product work.

roxii.ai stores conversation history, extracts structured information about you, builds profiles to power memory and continuity across sessions, and uses automated systems to interpret your messages. Federal law (COPPA) restricts collection of personal data from children under 13. State laws (notably California's CPRA and Age-Appropriate Design Code Act, and AI-companion legislation such as California SB 243) impose additional protections for users under 18, including limits on profiling and special handling of sensitive personal information. Our system architecture cannot accommodate these minor-specific obligations at the depth of data we process. We therefore restrict the service to adults.

By signing up, you affirm that you are 18 years of age or older. The service is currently available only to users in the United States. You also confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are under 18, you must not create an account, and we will close any account we discover belongs to a minor.

5. Nature of the service

Characters on roxii.ai are AI personas. They are not real people, do not have lived experiences, and any sense of relationship is a product of language modeling, not human consciousness. Conversations are generated by large language models and may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or content that does not reflect reality. Do not rely on a character's output for medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. The service is not a substitute for professional human care.

6. Content moderation

roxii.ai is a fully moderated, SFW-only service during the beta. Input and output pass through automated moderation layers; messages that violate our Acceptable Use Policy may be blocked, walked back, or reported. We do not allow sexually explicit content, instructions for self-harm or violence, content depicting minors, or attempts to manipulate the moderation system.

7. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for all activity on your account.
You agree to keep your credentials confidential.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
One person, one account. Do not create duplicate accounts to circumvent rate limits.
Do not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or otherwise coerce the AI models into producing content the product is not designed for — including sexually explicit content, instructions for self-harm or violence, content depicting minors, or anything that violates our Acceptable Use Policy. Repeated attempts may result in suspension or termination.

8. Acceptable use

Use of the service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy and Community Guidelines. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account during the beta.

9. Content and intellectual property

All character images, audio, character bibles, and original prompts on roxii.ai are owned by roxii.ai or its licensors. You may not redistribute, scrape, train models against, or use this content outside the platform without written permission. Conversation transcripts that include character output remain subject to these terms; you have a personal-use license to your own conversations but not the rights to redistribute character-generated content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations of these Terms, for behavior we determine to be unsafe to ourselves, our users, or our characters' integrity, or for any reason during the beta as we adjust the cohort. Account closure on our side does not create any refund obligation (since no money has been collected during the beta).

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT YOUR DATA WILL BE PRESERVED.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, roxii.ai AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Since the beta charges nothing, you acknowledge that your remedy for any dissatisfaction is to stop using the service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold roxii.ai harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time during the beta. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notification. Continued use of the service after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using the service and request account deletion.

15. End of beta

When the beta ends and the product enters general availability, these Terms will be replaced or materially updated. Continuation of your account into the post-beta product will be subject to accepting the then-current Terms. You will not be charged or auto-enrolled in any paid plan without your affirmative consent.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising out of these Terms or the service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
